ELSIE JEAN GEMMEL On Monday, January 24, 2005 Elsie Gemmel passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 82 years. She was born in Selkirk, MB, daughter of Frank and Margaret Gemmel. Elsie was predeceased by her parents, and three brothers, William (Bill), Frank and Harry and sister Meran Grain. She is survived by her sisters, Margaret Gemmel and Mary Downie and brother John Gemmel (Diana) of Calgary; and many nieces and nephews. Elsie was employed with the Federal Government as a Manpower Counsellor until retirement. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the Liberal Party and the Federal Civil Servants Retirees group. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 29 at 1:00 p.m., Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway. Rev. Jack Duckworth officiating.
