GORDON ROY MCDONALD was translated from earth to glory and passed peacefully on January 24, 2005. Survived by his best friend and loving wife Wanda; sons, Bob, Bill (Avis) and Roy; grandchildren, Colin, Jennifer, Kyle, Chris and Andrew. Missing him always will be his brother and dearest friend, Bill (Gwen); sisters, Maude (Roger), Alice, Bea, Dorothy (Al) and Florence (Bob). He was a businessman until two years ago, who thrived on challenge. Gord had great generosity of spirit; was a man of integrity and shared his camaraderie and joy with all he met. He was intensely loyal to family and friends. He had a full, rich and contented life. We are born and too soon die. The important thing is to get the living right , and Gord did that with grace and success. A true gentleman to the very end of the day. A celebration of his life will be held later on May 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831 - 28th Ave., Surrey. Mark your calendars and let's drink a toast to Gord's life well lived. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Peace Arch/South Surrey Food Bank, #5 - 15515 - 24th Ave., Surrey, BC V4A 2J4.
