Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPASTOR WALTER THEODORE WEIND October 29, 1919 - January 26, 2005 Family and friends reflect with love, gratitude and sadness on the life and loss of Walter Weind who passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2005. He was predeceased by his parents, Alex and Edith; his sisters, Emilie and Alma and son-in-law Larry Loschiavo. His life is lovingly remembered by his wife Delila and their two sons, David (June) and their children, Kirsten (James), Sarah and Mark; Richard (Norma) and their daughter Laurel; their two daughters, Carolyn (David Paschke) and their daughter Tracy (Jeff); and Rosemary (James McDowell) and her daughters, Carolyn (Douglas) and Erin Loschiavo; his brother Roy and many loving relatives and friends. Walter was ordained as a Lutheran Pastor in 1945 and served on the Lutheran Mission Field in Liberia, West Africa and at Christ Lutheran Church in Winnipeg for 29 years. He served on the Board of Luther Home from 1968 to 1998. In retirement, he continued to help where and when he was needed. He took great joy in his ministry and touched the lives of many throughout his life. Due to Alzheimers, we have missed him for a long time. The family wishes to acknowledge with sincere appreciation the support and kindness of friends, relatives and the wonderful staff at Luther Home for their special care, compassion and understanding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Luther Home, 1081 Andrews St., Winnipeg, MB R2V 2G9 or Christ Lutheran Church, 815 Inkster Blvd., Winnipeg, MB R3T 1N3.
