HERBERT WILLIAM GOOD July 12, 1915 - January 23, 2005 Bert passed away in the Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops, after a brief illness. He was predeceased by three brothers, Kelly, Bernie and Wilfred and one sister Olive. Bert is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Florence; as well as two sisters, Helen Jackson, and Edith North; three children, Bryan (Joan) of Smithers, Terry (Diane) of Prince George and Sharron Andersen (Tom) of Kamloops. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Cindy (Nathan), Curtis (Tamara), Danielle (Dave), Heather, Alan (Francesca), Chris (Kaew), Amy (Keenan); and seven great-grandchildren. Bert is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Bert was born at the family home near Lenore, MB in 1915. He was married to Florence in 1940, the same year that he joined the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders of Winnipeg. He took part in the Dieppe Raid where he was taken prisoner and released in 1945. Bert was a carpenter by trade and worked in Manitoba and B.C., retiring as a shop instructor at WCB. Bert and Florence lived in Morden, Manitoba, Vancouver, Maple Ridge, and Westbank. They moved to Kamloops in 2003 where they resided at the Berwick Retirement Centre. Bert will be remembered by those whose lives he touched and for his humour, his generosity and his kindness.
