ELIZABETH (BETTY ) GIESBRECHT (nee REIMER) 1945 - 2005 With the heaviest of hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, nana, sister and friend, Betty, on Monday, January 24, 2005, at the Grace General Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. Remaining to cherish her memory are her son Jason; daughter Tammy (Shawn); grandchildren, Logan, Cole and Caitlyn; brothers, Abe (Mary) and Ike (Pat); sisters, Susie, Ruth, Helen, Marg, Mary, Agathe (Gordon) and Anne (Stan); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Betty was predeceased by her parents, Jacob and Margaretha Reimer; seven brothers, Bill, Jake, John, Dave, Pete, Henry and Neil; and two sisters, Tina and Eva. Betty was an active member of Weston Gospel Church where she was involved in several committees. She will be remembered for her generosity and commitment to her faith and family. Betty especially enjoyed spending time with her three grandchildren. On Monday, January 31 at 11:00 a.m., Betty's funeral service will be held in Weston Gospel Church, 1787 Logan Ave. (Logan and Keewatin) with Rev. Alan Duncalfe officiating. Interment will follow in the Reinlander Mennonite Church Cemetery, Schanzenfeld, MB.
