WILLIAM (BILL) VICTOR LOWRY, born April 26, 1925 in Comox, BC, passed away in Nanaimo Regional General Hospital on January 27, 2005 surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his father William Lowry, mother Rosemary Downey and sister Mary Ogmundson. Bill will be lovingly missed by his wife of 53 years, Betty; sons, Mark and wife Jennifer of O Hawa, BC, Neal and wife Kim of Crofton, BC and daughters, Anne Elliott and husband Bob of Cambridge, ON, Jean Lowry and husband Cam Edwards of Georgetown, Guyana, Marie Schaubroeck and husband Marcel of Winnipeg, MB and grandchildren, Brandon, Jeffery, Lindsay, Anthony, Christopher, Keely, Greg and Mitchell. Bill returned to the Island for retirement having lived in many places across Canada leaving children in various cities. Bill enjoyed gardening, but his biggest joy was the success of his children and grandchildren. Memorial service will be held Saturday, January 29 at 1:00 p.m. at Parksville Funeral Chapel, 1000 Allsbrook Rd., Parksville, BC (250) 248-4644. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks to the 6th floor nursing staff at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital and Rev.
