BASILE FOREST After a lengthy illness, Basile Bill Forest passed away at the DeSalaberry and District Health Centre in St. Pierre-Jolys on Thursday, January 27, 2005, at the age of 76 years. He is survived by his son Gilbert (Irene) and their children, Lisa, Danielle (Jason) and Jennifer; his son-in-law Michel Carriere and his daughter Ashley; his sisters, Rose (Amedee) Joubert, Sylvia (Alvin) Auringer, Laurette (Guy) Trudel, Ida (Eugene) Beaudry; and his brother Joseph (Edvige). Basile was predeceased by his wife Therese in 2001; his daughter Colette in 2003; his parents Alphonse (1965) and Annie (1982); his sister Fernande (Louis) Ulcheck (1954); his brothers, Denis (1985), Albert (1974) and Gerry (2000); his stepsisters, Jeanne (Armand) Carriere, Emma Wold and Therese Mahe; and his stepbrother Edouard. The family extends special thanks to the staff at the DeSalaberry and District Hospital for all the care given to Dad. Thank you also to his sister, Rose (Amedee), for the care and support. Funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Guy Lavallee at the St. Malo Roman Catholic Church in St. Malo, MB, on Monday, January 31 at 2:30 p.m. Prayer service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Interment of Basile's cremated remains will take place in the St. Malo Parish Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Basile's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Manitoba Division, 102 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3G 1S6.
