Born on July 16, 1946 and raised in Teulon, as a young adult married and moved to Winnipeg and started his career at Symington Yard with CN Rail. After ten years in Winnipeg, he moved back to Teulon area and completed carpentry training at Red River College. Wayne moved to Alberta in 1978 to continue in the building trade at Fort McMurray. After 17 years (and a few missing fingers) he chose to see the country and became a long distance truck driver. He especially enjoyed visits with his grandchildren, family and friends. Wayne is survived by his father Duncan and predeceased by his mother Florence (1990). Lovingly remembered by his son Kelvin (Winnipeg); daughter Theresa (Cross Lake); grandchildren, Cody, Cole and Chase (Winnipeg); brothers, Larry (Boissevain), Dave (Calgary) and sisters, Bev (Hazelridge), Marilyn and Fran (Teulon); along with their families and his numerous friends. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 31 at 2:00 p.m. in the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon. Rev. Patricia McMahon officiating. Wayne, Kelvin, my mom, sister (Becky) and I all lived together in Fort McMurray in the 80's. Wayne was great at everything he did, race car driving, fishing and hunting. I remember one time Wayne sent me into the bush to flush out a moose. I was 12 years old and this moose looked at me and chased me down the path. I remember screaming and running with a moose behind me and Wayne laughing his head off. Good times. God bless you Wayne. You are missed. - Posted by: Scott miller (Family friend) on: Sep 13, 2012
