Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAGNES JONES (MONTEITH) Peacefully at Meadowood Manor, January 31, 2005, Agnes Jones (Monteith) passed away. Agnes was predeceased by her husband Leonard in June 1989; her parents, Andrew and Elizabeth Monteith, and sisters, Betty and Margaret. She is survived by her brother Ray (Irene) Monteith and his family; her two sons, Brian (Allison), Leonard (Margaret); granddaughters, Leslie, Karen, Kathy and great-grandson Tyler. Agnes was born in Mulvey Hill, MB October 21, 1914. She and her family moved to Norwood where she met and married her husband Len. Together they raised their family there until moving to East Kildonan in 1956 where she remained until the summer of 2003. Agnes was a force to be reckoned with in her 10 pin bowling league for many years. She and her husband won many championships over the years housing shelves of trophies. She also liked to tear up the rink in her early years with her love of speed skating. Many years were spent at the little cottage in Grand Beach where she tended to her flowers and grandchildren. Agnes and Len celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in May 1989, and just recently Agnes celebrated her 90th birthday. Cremation has taken place, with a private family service planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Meadowood Manor or charity of one's choice. The family would like to thank the staff at Concordia Hospital, Misericordia Hospital and Meadowood Manor for their care and kindness they provided to Agnes over the last year.
