Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE BARTECKI (nee SWIDERSKI) After a brief but courageous battle with cancer Mom (Baba) went peacefully on January 29, 2005 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Mom was predeceased by her loving husband and soulmate Edward Bartecki; her parents, Mary and Peter Swiderski; brother John (Cathe) Swiderski; and sister Elsie Richliwski. She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Debbie (Mark), Tracey (Travis), Sylvia (Brent); along with grandchildren, Brennan (Ashley), Brittany, Charlotte and Cherise. Anne is survived by her sister Shirley (Eric) along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Mom was born in Zhoda, MB on September 22, 1938. She moved to Winnipeg with her family where she met and married Eddie Bartecki in 1961. Mom worked for many years at Paulin's and Perch Catering and finished working with Walmart, retiring in 2001. Family was important to Mom and she showed that with all her helping hands and constant doting on her grandchildren. Some of Mom's favourite pastimes were gardening, canning, baking, babysitting and jigsaw puzzles. The family would like to express sincerest thanks to Dr. Finlayson and all the palliative care staff on Unit 1, 5th floor, Seven Oaks Hospital. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, February 2, 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 3, 10:00 a.m., also at Cropo Chapel with Juanita MacKinnon-Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, if friends wish, donations in Anne's memory may be made to the Arthritis Society, Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of your choice. I worked with both your parents, at my sister Mary Perch's catering business in the 50's(almost half a century ago) with Betty and Elmer, and Nettie and Carl Skrypec, all those bad guys, then there was Karen, another bad one!(Nettie and Carls daughter) that one , you have to watch out for; also Randy, and Russel, and Brian,and that is only 2 families that will never forget your Mom (and Dad) They will, forever, be in our hearts.. - Posted by: Jean St.Jean (Family) on: Feb 01, 2005
