Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALBERT SNIFELD Peacefully with his family by his side, Albert Snifeld passed away Friday, January 28, 2005, at the Selkirk General Hospital at the age of 76. Albert was predeceased by his beloved wife of 48 years, June Kristine Snifeld, on October 2, 2000; his infant daughter Joanne; his parents Tryggvi and Runa Snifeld; sister Lillian; and brother-in-law Freeman Brandson; father-in-law Kris and mother-in-law Anna. Albert (Dad and Afi) will be sadly missed by his four children, Diane (Alf), David (Rosanne), Larry (Leanne) and Janis (Mike); grandchildren, Terry, Darlene, Sherry, Kertis, Michelle, Erika, Kyle and Katie; great-grandchildren, Jesse, Tanner, Kristine, Holly, Amber, Johnathan, Jeanine and Trinity. Albert is survived by his sister Sigurros (Joe), their children, Brian, Cheryl, Leslie and Ingrid and families; nieces, Donna and Catherine and their families. Albert was born on February 24, 1928, in Hnausa, MB. He married June in 1952. In 1960 Albert became employed with Manitoba Hydro and moved to East Selkirk to raise his family. He was a loyal employee with Manitoba Hydro until his retirement. Albert will be remembered for his kindness and sense of humour and the way he looked at life. He enjoyed meeting new people and liked everyone he met. He has made lots of friends and touched many hearts through the years. All who loved him will miss his positive outlook on life and his gift of knowledge. The love he showed his family will be forever in our hearts and forever missed. The Quality of a man's life is measured by how deeply he has touched the life of others. May we always remember and cherish, Long after the sorrow and tears, The great man he was and the life That he lived - His gift to us That will last through the years. You will be greatly missed by all who knew you. As much as it hurts to lose you here on earth, I know in my heart that you have gone to a better place - a place without pain and heartache. Love Darlene. A private family graveside service will be held at the Gimli Community Cemetery. The family will be holding a get together in memory of Albert at a later date.
