JOHN LUTCHYT 1917 - 2005 On Friday, January 28, 2005, John Lutchyt of Winnipeg, MB, passed away at Concordia Hospital at the age of 87 years. He was predeceased by his loving wife Kathleen in 1992; his parents, Pauline and Domtro; brothers, Bill and Walter; and sister Jessie Szechowski. He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory, daughter Chris Neufeld, granddaughter Lisa, grandson David, uncle Dmytro Milnyk in Hamilton and all his friends. John worked 36 years for CPR, B B Bridge and Building as carpenter and part foreman, retiring early in 1979. He was a life member of the brotherhood of Maintenance Employee Lodge 207. He was also a member of Canadian Pacific Pensioners Association, and a longtime member of the Ukrainian Canadian Legion Branch No. 141. John spent four years in the Armed Forces in the Canadian Provort Corp., spending two years in Canada and two years overseas and was made Corporal. He did a lot of travelling with his wife and toured most of the United States and Canada. Chris would like to thank the nurses at Concordia Hospital for taking care of her dad and also Dr. Darcy Johnson. Prayers will be held Wednesday, February 2 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 3 at 1:00 p.m. also at the chapel.
