Allan was a two-time Canadian Curling Champion having played third with the late Billy Walsh of the Fort Rouge Curling Club when their team won the MacDonald Brier Tankard in 1952 and 1956. In addition to his love of curling, Allan loved to golf. He was a member of Pine Ridge from 1946 to 1955, then in 1961 he joined the Elmhurst Golf and Country Club and was a member until he died, leaving behind many, many friends and great memories. Cremation has already taken place. At Allan's request, no funeral service will be held. His wish was that all his acquaintances just enjoy their curling and golf as much as he did.
