Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAISY MARR (nee GREENBERG) Peacefully on January 21, 2005, Daisy passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 77. She is survived by her brother Eddy; sister Ida; her husband of 60 years, Moe (Maurice); daughter Sheryl of Calgary, AB; sons, Hartley (Daneta) of Banff, AB, and David (Jodi) of Winnipeg, MB. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Tovah, Tara, Andrea, Joshua, Jared, and Jesse. Daisy was predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Cecile; brothers, Max and Herbie; sisters, Bella, Sarah; and grandson Joey Marr. Daisy was born July 23, 1927, in Winnipeg. Daisy and Moe moved to Portage la Prairie, MB, in 1956 and opened their first of seven ladies clothing stores called Marr Fashions which they operated until 1989 when they retired. Daisy was very involved in the Jewish community of Portage la Prairie and the local Haddassah chapter. She always conducted herself with humility and dignity which endeared her to all who knew her. Despite her multitude of ailments, she was always ready to lend a listening ear and provide support where she could. Daisy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose main concern was the welfare of her immediate and extended family. She was dedicated to perpetuating Jewish heritage and traditions throughout her life. The family extends their appreciation to Dr. James Johnston and staff at the Manitoba Cancer Clinic for their many years of support and care. Interment is at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery, Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Manitoba Cancer Foundation.
