JULIA BULA (BUKOWSKI)

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJULIA BULA (nee BUKOWSKI) Peacefully, with her family by her side our beloved mom, babchia and great-babchia Julia Bula passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital on January 29, 2005. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Eleanor Zygarlicki of Garson, MB, Dolores Paterson (Bob) of Springfield, MB; and daughter-in-law Beverly Bula of Delta, BC; grandchildren, Glenn (Kathy), Diane (Chuck), Gail (Roger), Kevin, Kimberley (Darrell), Karen (Jemal), Kenneth (Judy), Jo-Anne (Albert) and Rob; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Levi, Travis, Janelle, Preston, Bree, Carrie, Devin, Melissa, Mackenzie, Ryan, Nathan, Brittney and Stephanie. She is also survived by sisters, Frances Turner of London ON, Nellie Ryback of Winnipeg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 1986; son Ted in 2001; and son-in-law Ed Zygarlicki in 2003; her parents, Lawrence and Mary; sister Adolpha Dubiel; brother Edward Bukowski; brothers-in-law, Gordon Turner, John Ryback and Ignes Dubiel. Mom was born in Cooks Creek, MB on April 12, 1913 and spent her childhood on the farm. She married Joseph in 1937 and resided in Winnipeg. She worked at Eaton's Mail Order until it's closure. Mom always had the earliest vegetables and the greatest blooms from her gardens, which she gladly shared with others. Mom was fortunate to reside independently in her home until May of 2004. Eleanor and Dolores would like to thank Mom's neighbours Frank and Lorraine Grabowski, Ralph and Francisca Gonzales for keeping a watchful eye on Mom over the years. Sincere thanks to the staff of Maples Personal Care Home for the excellent care given to Mom, also to the staff of Unit 1, 5th floor Seven Oaks General Hospital for the compassionate care given to Mom and her family during her brief stay. Your thoughtfulness will not be forgotten. Prayers will be said on Thursday, February 3, 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 4, 10:30 a.m. at St. John Cantius' Roman Catholic Church, 846 Burrows Ave. with Fr. Henryk Uczniak officiating. Interment will be at Holy Ghost Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Julia's memory to a charity of one's choice.
