EDITH MAY SPECULA (RATTRAY) Peacefully, on Tuesday, February 1, 2005, Edith passed away with her daughter Gail and Mum's dear friend Trevor by her side. Edith was born May 18, 1924 in New Glasgow, NS. She is survived by her daughter Gail; son Gary (Donna Royal); grandchildren, Kevin Kodak (Theresa), Brent Kodak, Tyler Specula, Megan Specula (Cory Thordarson) and great-granddaughter Johanna Thordarson. She also leaves to mourn sisters, Eira, Louise (John), Vel (Norm), Flora (Jack) and brothers, Doug (Sally), Art and Jack (Helen); numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. Edith leaves behind a very special friend Trevor Waller of Gimli, MB. Mum and Trevor enjoyed wintering in Mesa, Arizona, New Zealand and Australia. Edith was predeceased by husband Ed; mother and father, Emma and Harry Rattray; brother Hutton Rattray and brother-in-law Tom. Many thanks go out to the staff of Tudor House Personal Care Home in Selkirk, MB for the past four years of care and compassion you showed Mum and the family. Cremation has taken place and a family memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mum's name to the Heart and Stroke Association, the Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice. Mum, your bright smile will be missed.
