ANGELE ROSS (nee DESMARAIS) An angel on earth is now an Angele in heaven. On Sunday, January 30, 2005, surrounded by the love of her family and friends, Angele went into the arms of the Lord after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. We will miss her giving nature, comforting arms and beautiful spirit, but mostly, we will miss her unconditional love. Angele was predeceased by her father Alcide (1956); her brother Alain (1993); sister-in-law Jeanette (1990); father-in-law Aurele Ross (2000) and her mother-in-law Therese Ross (2005). She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 37 years, Denis; her children, Daniel, Gerard, Philippe, Nicole (Chris) and Carole (Vance) and her precious grandson Cory. She is survived by her dear mother Robertine Desmarais. Her memory will be cherished by her brothers and sisters, Lucien (Elaine), Rita (Victorien), Rene (Linda), Monique, Huguette (Rene) and Shirley; her in-laws, Claudette (Arthur), Gilbert (Mae), Claude and Gisele. She will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and the good friends she held dear to her heart. Angele was born on October 18, 1946 and grew up in Lorette, MB. She met Denis in school; they fell in love and married on September 9, 1967. A few years later, they started their family. She loved her children dearly and she made sure they knew it everyday. Her joys in life were simple: visiting her family, going for coffee with her friends, and going on short trips with her husband. After her children were grown, she became a homecare worker and enjoyed that for many years. Her faith kept her strong and she was an inspiration to us all. Angele's family expresses their sincere gratitude to the staff at the Concordia Hospital for making Mom as comfortable as possible and for helping us cope with this difficult time. Thank you also to CancerCare Manitoba and to the Grace Hospital staff for your heartfelt kindness. Funeral mass will be celebrated by Father Armand LeGal at the Notre-Dame-de-Lorette Roman Catholic Church in Lorette, MB on Friday, February 4 at 2:00 p.m. Prayer service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Interment of Angele's cremated remains will take place in the Lorette Parish Cemetery following the mass.
