WILLIAM SENICK JR. It is with great sorrow that the family of Bill Senick announce his peaceful passing on February 1, 2005 at the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital. Bill was born on April 27, 1924 in Winnipeg, MB, attended school in Winnipeg, Balmoral and then Teulon. Bill grew up in the Teulon area with his family and made many friends in this community. Him mom and dad purchased the Dundas School that he had attended as a student and moved it to Teulon. Bill lived in this home until he became ill in 1999. Bill never married but was part of a family as he worked on the farm alongside his brother Mervyn. Bill enjoyed visiting friends on his many drives around the countryside. It was a regular day for him to hop in the car, go pick up a buddy and head out to find someone at home to discuss farming issues or whatever came up at the kitchen table. He also had the opportunity to visit his brother and sister-in-law in BC and the odd trip to Shooting Star Casino to gamble a little in life. He unfortunately became ill and was to find a new home at Tudor Lodge (Selkirk) and then on to Goodwin Lodge (Teulon) where he kept the nurses and staff smiling. Bill is survived by his sister Julie (Tom) Smith of Kelowna, BC; brother Walter (Pearl) Senick of Winnipeg, MB; sisters-in-law, Bertha Senick of Teulon and Cassie Senick of Vancouver, BC; along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Pearl Senick; brothers, Mervyn and John and sister Elizabeth (Ed) Harding. We would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Goodwin Lodge and Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital for their professional care and understanding, compassion shown to Uncle Billy and family during his stay. Angels do walk among us.... Memorial service will take place on Saturday, February 5 at 2:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Teulon, MB. Interment will follow at Windsor Cemetery. If friends and family so desire, donations in his memory may be made to Goodwin Lodge, Box 89, Teulon, MB R0C 3B0.
