MABEL BENTLEY On Wednesday, February 2, 2005, Mabel Bentley passed away at the age of 80 years, at the Luther Home. Left to cherish her memory are her devoted friend and companion Alex Kolakowski; her sister Maisie Simons; her nieces, Linda Cutler (Bud) of Sherwood Park, AB, Gail Wiebe (Tom) of Winnipeg, Diane Wright (John) of Regina, SK; her nephews, Chuck Simons (Lorraine) of Winnipeg, Christopher Melesko (Lydia) of Vernon, BC, Dan Melesko of Victoria, BC, and Bill, Lyle and Barry Bentley, all of Sacramento, CA. Mabel was predeceased by her brothers, William and Fred and her sister Betty Melesko. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 8 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., with Pastor Don Engel officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Alex and the family wish to express sincere thanks to the staff of Luther Home for their kindness in caring for Mabel, especially during her recent illness. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations in Mabel's memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
