MERRIL "MEL" VICTOR CRANSTON Peacefully on Sunday, January 30, 2005, Mel passed away at the Grace General Hospital, at the age of 73 years. Mel will be sadly missed by his wife Doris, of 51 years of marriage; children, Vicki (Perry), Cathy (Tom), Randy (Marian) and Dawn (Glen); grandchildren, Darcee, Erin (Brent), Kelly (Vanessa), Brent (Heather), Keith, Cam (Megan), T.J. and Glen's children; also his sisters, Jean (Joe) of Keewatin and Marjorie of Flagstaff, AZ; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Margaret; father Stanley; and brothers, Gerald and Stanley. In keeping with Mel's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. A small family gathering was held to celebrate Mel's life. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Mel's memory may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6 or to a charity of one's choice.
