JOHN NICHOLAS CONWAY (CIUNYK) On Friday, January 28, 2005, John entered into eternal rest at the Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg, MB. He recently celebrated his 81st birthday. John is survived by his children, Dan, George and Janice; their spouses; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dad was born in Hodgson, MB to Nicholas and Mary Ciunyk. He left home at an early age to serve his country in the Canadian Army during the Second World War. After the war, Dad returned to Winnipeg and served on the Winnipeg Police Department for a number of years. Following that, he had several jobs in the automotive industry. Dad finished his working career with Autopac in the Investigations Branch. His leisure and retirement were spent outdoors. He loved the country and fishing. In compliance with Dad's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Remembrances by the family will be private. Our family would like to thank the staff at SICU Health Sciences for their caring and superlative medical treatment, with special thanks to Dr. Oppenheimer. Flowers are gratefully declined.
