Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANCIS GORDON REEVES 1917 - 2005 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our father and friend, Dr. Gordon Reeves on January 29, 2005. Born to Frank and Caroline Reeves, Gordon was predeceased by his loving wife Florence and his elder sister Margaret (Peggy) Christensen of LeSueur, MN. He leaves to mourn his sons, Robert (Shari), of Penticton, BC and James (Susan) of Winnipeg and his beloved grandson Landon (BC). Upon graduation from the College of Optometry of Ontario in 1938, Gordon began a career of service in that profession in Winnipeg which lasted until his retirement in 1988. During that time, he dutifully applied his skills for the betterment of the vision of a multitude of people and worked as well in the service of Manitoba Optometry. His legacy will not be forgotten. An avid golfer, Gordon was a longtime member of Southwood Golf and Country Club and leaves many buddies there. His work as an amateur photographer produced images that have graced the walls of the Smithsonian Institution and many a friend's wedding album. Above all, Gordon loved people. At Gordon's request, a private family service will be held and interment will take place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. Friends who wish to honour his life are asked to make a donation to the charity of their choice in his name. The family expresses their sincere appreciation to the staff of the Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Service and the St. Boniface General Hospital for their considerate service to Gordon. Goodbye, Dad.
