PAUL WERETA Peacefully surrounded by his loving family Paul lost his year long struggle with cancer on February 2, 2005. Born the fourth of nine children. Paul spent the best part of his life living and working in Winnipeg. His most recent and last employment in the shipping department of Willmar Windows - Jeld-Wen of Canada for 15 years. He was married and leaves behind his wife, brothers, sisters, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Those who knew Paul knew him to be a caring generous man, freely giving of his time and energy, with a sense of humour to match. He loved working and playing outdoors, the hotter the weather and the sunshine the better and spent numerous weekends pursuing his favourite pastime of camping, fishing, and boating. He lived life to the fullest...his way. He had a love for animals and in particular, unwanted, abused or neglected dogs. Too many to mention found their way to our home and spent the remainder of their years, happy and cared for in a loving environment. Left behind are his Rottie Trooper his Sheppard Schehera and Miss Kitty who will surely miss his warmth caring and companionship. The family extends heart felt gratitude for the compassionate care, kindness, patience and above all dignity extended Paul in the final weeks of his life by Dr. Garcia and staff at Riverview's E-3; with special thanks to Helen, Margaret, Barb, Wayne, Marlene, Linda, and Danelle. You are very special people. To the two angels, his nieces Darlene and Debbie thank you for your undying devotion, your strength and emotional support, devoting countless hours over the past three weeks at uncle Paul's bedside providing him with care, comfort, and above all fond memories, laughter, inducing that ear-to-ear winning smile. Respecting Paul's final wishes cremation has taken place with private interment to follow. No traditional funeral service will be held but a gathering in celebration of Paul's life will take place Monday, February 7 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. Weep not for me, but remember me with fondness and smile. Rest in peace. Powlooshoo . Flowers are gratefully declined, donations in Paul's memory may be made to D'Arcy's Arc or any no kill pet shelter of choice. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME CREMATORIUM 220 Hespeler Ave. @ Henderson Hwy. 668-3151
