Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIAN MAY STANGL (nee DUFFILL) April 25, 1936 - February 2, 2005 Peacefully on February 2, 2005, Marian joined our Lord after a courageous battle with cancer. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her sons, Ken (Lana and Dustin, Lindy and Curtis); Douglas (Jorian); daughters, Donna (John and Shannon); and Teri (Harvey, Matthew and Layne). Also left to mourn her passing is beloved partner, Alfie Carloni and dearest friends, Rod and Rosealind Campbell, as well as many other friends and relatives. Thank you, Dr. Ray Singer for your many years of excellent medical care and emotional support. You are more than our doctor, you are our friend. Marian was predeceased by husband George, mother May, father Sydney and brother Milton. Marian loved to travel and spent time in Texas each winter. She loved the warm weather, golfing and occasional gambling trip. Her love of curling, bowling and volunteer work at Seven Oaks Hospital occupied much of her time. Marian was an active member of the United Church, firstly in the Maples/Garden City area and later in Windsor Park. She also enjoyed spending a lot of time with her family at the cottage. A wide smile brightened her face whenever a grandchild was near. Her unconditional love and devotion for her family was eternal as our memory of her will always be. She supported every aspect of her children's and grandchildren's lives. Marian was a beautiful person inside and out. We will always adore her and keep her memory alive in our hearts. We love you Mom; we love you Grandma. A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Home, 1442 Main St. A reception will follow immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
