She also leaves to mourn her sisters, Betty Lindsay (Charlie), Irene Coleman (Gerald), Pat Appleyard (Don), Shirley King (Ron) and brothers, Art McFee (Audrey), Ron McFee (Edith), Keith McFee. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and in-laws. Ruby was born on April 25, 1933 in Winnipeg to Pearl and Carl McFee. She was raised on the farm near Grosse Isle and attended school there. She then began her career as a telephone operator at Stonewall before marrying Murray Stewart on November 21, 1953. Together they raised their family of seven children and proudly celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 2003. In 1974 Ruby fulfilled her lifelong dream of owning and operating a restaurant opening Stewart's Restaurant in Manitou. After retiring from the restaurant in 1989, unable to sit idle, Ruby started a 10 year career working with Home Care. She remained active with curling in the winter and camping and fishing in the summer. She had a passion for gardening and baking. She was very creative and her diversity of hobbies resulted in many entries to the annual fair where she was crowned Queen of the Fair numerous times. She was quite proud of this accomplishment. She loved scrapbooking, playing cards, crosswords and puzzles and entertaining whoever arrived in her home. Ruby's greatest joy was her family. Raising seven children was her greatest boast. She was always supportive and instilled her work ethics and competitive instinct in each of them. She had a special bond with each of her 17 grandchildren. She rarely missed a hockey or baseball game, dance of music recital. She relished in each of the accomplishments no matter how great or how small. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 7 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Andrews United Church, Manitou, MB. A viewing will be held On Sunday, February 6 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Graham's Funeral Home in Pilot Mound, MB. Pallbearers will be her five sons and eldest grandson.
