TINA DYCK (nee THIESSEN) Tina Dyck, at the age of 89, passed away peacefully at Boundary Trails Health Centre on Thursday, February 3, 2005, after a month long illness. She will be greatly missed by Diedrich, her husband of 58 years; her children, Ken (Kim), Sharon (Norman), Esther (Ray), Betty (Mark), John, Lawrence (Wanda), Albert (Patty), Ron (Jackie), Marlene (Gysbert) and 13 grandchildren, Jennifer, Shaun, Trish, Joel, Kenny, Carmel, Kevin, Marc, Scott, Cassandra, Brianne, Aaron and Celina. Tina was predeceased by her parents, Maria and John P. Thiessen of Chortitz; and her brother John. Tina is survived by two brothers, Abe (Helen), Peter; and seven sisters, Mary (Frank), Helen, Margaret (Harry), Agnes, Susie, Anne and Betty. Tina was a dedicated, generous and loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and aunt. She never forgot anyone's birthday. She enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, gardening, reading, talking on the phone, visiting with family and friends and playing games. Tina especially liked Scrabble and was very good at beating her opponents. Tina had a keen mind and a great sense of humour. She enjoyed writing in her daily diary. Tina was a longtime member of the Winkler E.M.M. Church. She enjoyed outings to the Winkler Friendship Centre when she was well enough to attend. The family wishes to extend gratitude to Dr. Lane, Dr. Funk and all the staff at the Boundary Trails Health Centre and the Eden Mental Health Centre. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, February 7 at 2:00 p.m. at the Winkler E.M.M. Church, 600 Southview Dr., Winkler. Interment will follow at Winkler Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to World Vision, Box 1000 Stn. Streetsville, Mississauga, ON L5M 9Z9, or to a charity of your choice.
