Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH (BETTY) ALICE ANDREW 1925 - 2005 Peacefully, on January 30, 2005, at the age of 79 years, Betty passed away at Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg. Betty was born in Qu'Appelle, SK. She spent her formative years living with her loving parents, Victor and Elizabeth Andrew, in Saskatchewan. The entire family came to Winnipeg in 1944. During Betty's early years, she took great joy assisting her parents looking after many household duties, and taking care of her dogs, Teddy and Duke. Both Betty and her mother came to the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg in 1983. While residing at the home, Betty displayed great ability and enthusiasm for a variety of activities, including carpet bowling, bingo and crafts. Betty was also an avid fan of the wealth of musical entertainment provided for residents of Middlechurch Home. Betty is survived by cousins, Donna Davis, Ina Hanley, John Mueller and Michael Jack. Betty is also survived by numerous friends, most notably, longtime friends Mildred Rae and Flora MacDonald, who both occupied very special places in Betty's life. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 9 at 1:30 p.m. at the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, at 280 Balderstone Rd. in Middlechurch. Betty's later years were made much richer by the warmness and caring of the staff at Middlechurch Home. Accordingly, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honour of Betty to the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, 280 Balderstone Rd., West St. Paul, MB R4A 4A6.
