WILLIAM BILL CREIGHTON PEARSON William Bill Creighton Pearson, beloved husband of Doris, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on January 25, 2005 at the age of 82 years. Bill was born in Winnipeg, MB on March 21, 1922. He grew up in Winnipeg, the eldest son of the late Senator Arthur and Elizabeth Pearson. Bill attended the University of Manitoba, studying three years of Geology. He served overseas during the Second World War and upon his return, he completed his law degree, graduating in 1949. Bill was employed as Council for C.R.T.C. for 10 years in Ottawa, ON, he then pursued private practice in Brandon in 1967. He was an active member in several groups: Kinsmen Club, Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders, Shriners, St. Matthew's Cathedral Choir, and he served on many boards. Bill's passions included reading, music, fishing, and golf. He obtained his pilot's license at the age of 50. He was honoured by the Manitoba Bar Association for 50 years of law practice. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Doris; daughters, Marcia (Michael) and Patty (Perry); son Bill (Brenda); five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister Jean; brother Geo; numerous nieces, nephews and lifelong friend, Ken Smith. Bill was predeceased by his parents, brother Jim and sister Peggy. A memorial service was held at St. Matthew's Cathedral on Saturday, January 29 at 2:00 p.m. with Very Rev. Robin Walker officiating. Inurnment took place in the St. Matthew's Columbarium.
