EMILIJA HERTL Emilija Hertl, age 89, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 4, 2005 at Luther Home, with her family at her side. She was predeceased by her parents; her brothers and sisters; her son-in-law Vinko and two great-grandchildren Adam and Megan. Emilija will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Gabrijela Anderlic; grandchildren, Andrej (Cheryl), Jernej (Terri) and Anna and great-grandchildren, Amanda, Jason, Jared and Rebecca. Emilija was a very religious person, dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes (Slovenian Church). She was very passionate about gardening and her flowers. Everyone knew her as Babica. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Luther Home for their loving and passionate care given to Babica during her stay there. We would also like to thank the many friends who visited Babica. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, February 7, at Our Lady of Lourdes (Slovenian Church), 95 MacDonald Avenue, celebrated by Father Stan Gacek. Viewing will be held one half hour prior to service time. Pallbearers will be Andrej, Jernej and Jason Anderlic, Ignac and Stan Bedernjak and Richard Kowal. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue, with a reception at the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. Flowers are gratefully declined, should friends so desire, a donation in memory of Emilija can be made to Luther Home, 1081 Andrews Ave., Winnipeg, R2V 2G9. Pocivaj v miru Bozjem, Mamika and Babica.
