Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDANUTA WOLCZKIEWICZ (nee SLUPECKA) Peacefully after a short illness on Thursday, February 3, 2005, Danuta, passed away at the Seven Oaks General Hospital at the age of 81 years. Remaining to forever cherish Danuta's memory are her only nephew Leszek Slupecki and his wife and their three daughters in Warsaw as well as numerous friends in Winnipeg and Poland. She was predeceased by her husband Bronislaw in 1998; her parents; her brother and by two sisters in Warsaw, Poland. Danuta was born August 13, 1923 in Warsaw, Poland. She came to Canada in 1959 and married Bronislaw. For many years, she was employed by the Health Sciences Centre. From the time Danuta came to Canada, she was a parishioner of the Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, a long time member and secretary of the Catholic Womens League of Canada and the Polish Combatants Association Branch 13. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Emilia Plater at SPK, Canadian Polish Ladies Federation Link Ogniwo No. 7 and a member in numerous other Canadian and Polish organizations. Danuta will be forever remembered as a lady of wisdom. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 8 at 10:30 a.m. in the Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue with an Oblate Father presiding. For those who wish, the Rosary will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Holy Ghost Cemetery, 4387 Main Street. Pallbearers will be Frank Rogowy, Ben Chichlowski, Peter Kreml and Henry Wanic. Our family would like to thank the excellent staff at Seven Oaks Hospital, 3rd Floor Unit 5 for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Danuta's memory to The Cancer Society Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB. R3C 2B7.
