Suddenly on Sunday, February 6, 2005 at Red Sucker Lake First Nation, Morton Irving Disbrowe Sr. passed away at the age of 70 years. Morton was born at Red Sucker Lake on October 2, 1934 and had resided there his entire life. He owned a lodge and his wish was to leave it to his family. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed trapping, hunting and fishing. Morton passed away in the bush on Sunday doing the things he enjoyed the best, being outdoors. He leaves to cherish his beautiful memory his wife Mary; five sons, and four daughters, Gordon (Christine), Christine (Philip), George (Darlene), Kevin (Lillian), Judy, Bonnie (Melvin), Morton Jr. (Roberta), Heather (Les) and Mac (Mary); three brothers, Fred (Jessie), Harvey (Louise) and Lorne (Rosalie), five sisters, Lena (Simon), Caroline (Abraham), Marilyn (Job), Elsie and Astrid (John). There are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and two special grandchildren whom he raised, Shelly and Desiree. He was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Christine Disbrowe; sons, Isaiah and Robert; daughters, Margaret and Loretta. Wake services were held on Monday, February 7 and will be held on Tuesday, February 8 at Red Sucker Lake. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 9 at 1:00 p.m. at the Red Sucker Lake Full Gospel Church, Red Sucker Lake Manitoba with Rev. Allan B. Harper and Rev. Benny Harper officiating.
