OLGA WIENS Peacefully, on February 5, 2005, Olga Wiens passed away at the Bethania Personal Care Home at age 96 years. She is survived by her son-in-law Kornie Smit of Fort McLeod, AB; son Henry (Verna) Wiens of Calgary, AB; daughter Irma (Peter) Penner of Fredericton, NB; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; brother Richard (LaVerne) Puchter of Waukesha, WI; sister-in-law Mary Lippelt of Winnipeg; numerous nieces and nephews, several cousins, also of Winnipeg, and a nephew and relatives in Lithuania. Olga was predeceased by her husband Jacob Henry Wiens in 1960; daughter Rita Smit in 1995; as well as five siblings. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Sargent Ave. Mennonite Church, 926 Garfield St., with interment to follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will take place at Bethania Personal Care Home, 1045 Concordia Ave., from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 8 and prior to the service.
