BERTHA HOWARD It is with resigned sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Bertha Ellen Howard (Wilkinson). On February 6, 2005, Bertha Ellen Howard passed away peacefully, at the wonderful age of 102, with her devoted family by her side. Bertha leaves to mourn her three children, Calvin (Lauretta), Leslie (Ella), Irene (Ron), her eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives and dear friends. Bertha was predeceased by her husband Robert and infant daughter Gloria, plus her 12 brothers and sisters. A celebration of Bertha's simplistic, beautiful life will be held on Thursday, February 10 at 2:00 p.m. at the Emerson United Church with Rev. Bev Ward officiating. Interment to follow in the Emerson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and if one so desires, memorial tributes may be made to the E.P.C.H. (Emerson Personal Care Home). The family wishes to extend special thanks and gratitude to the staff of the Emerson Care Home for they many, many acts of caring and kindness towards our dear mother. She was a gift to us all.
