BERNARD (BERNIE) KLISH 1933 - 2005 It is with mixed emotions - sadness at our loss but happiness knowing his struggles and pain are over, we announce that Bernie passed away peacefully at Seven Oaks Hospital on Saturday, February 5, 2005. Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife Helen; daughter Melanie; grandchildren, Amy Jessica and Darren Nicholas Ross. He is also survived by his sister Vera. Bernie was predeceased by his son Derrick on February 13, 1994; father William on January 20, 1966 and mother Stella on February 17, 1995. Bernie was employed with the Winnipeg School Board and took early retirement in 1994. Prior to working for the school board he worked at Brooke Bond Foods. Graveside Service will be held on Friday, February 11, 12:00 noon at Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave. Urnbearers will be Bernie Dolski, Jr., and Wendy Samborski. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bernie Dolski, Jr., Don Dolski, Wally Dolski, Gary Dolski, Paul Heide and Chris Jankowski. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 11, 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Mrs. Rose Ferries officiating. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations may be made in Bernie's memory to the Rainbow Society, 303 - 1 Wesley Ave., Winnipeg, R3C 4C6, Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, R2L 1X3 or a charity of one's choice. Sincere thanks to Dr. G. Lipinski (Parkview Professional Centre) for all of her efforts in caring for Bernie, also thank you Shirley. Thank you to Dr. Mark Kristjenson, his associate Dr. Teo and the staff of the 3rd floor, Unit 4 Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and compassion.
