ELIZABETH MELNYK April 30, 1924 - February 7, 2005 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Elizabeth (Elsie) Melnyk, beloved wife of the late Peter and dearly loved mother of Gordon on Monday, February 7, 2005 at Seven Oaks General Hospital. Besides her son, Gordon, Elsie is survived by her sister-in-law Shirley (Morris) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary, Sophie and Jean; brothers, Morris and John. Elsie was born in Winnipeg and was a dedicated and loving wife and mother. She was a member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church for many years. She enjoyed the challenges of raising a family and was always there in time of need. Elsie also enjoyed many happy times with family and friends at the cottages at Petersfield and Victoria Beach. Her spare time was spent taking care of the flowers and garden at home. My thanks to Dr. Gorski and Dr. Chung who provided care. Also, many thanks to the caring staff at Seven Oaks Hospital and Maples Personal Care Home where she spent the last several months of her life. A graveside memorial service will take place on Friday, February 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main St. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
