CATHERINE DONALD On February 7, 2005 at the Betel Home, Selkirk, Catherine Donald, aged 87 years, a longtime resident of East Lower Fort Garry, MB. Catherine was predeceased by her husband John in 1980; son Richmond in 1994; son-in-law Dan McDonald in 1982; mother Jennie in 1979; father Alex in 1971; two brothers, Albert and Stanford; and two sisters, Phyllis and Pearl. She leaves surviving three daughters, Hazel (Sveinn) Finnson, Audrey McDonald, Jeanette (Blair) McKee; son Richard (Roberta) Donald; five grandsons, Cory and Jason Donald, Drew McDonald, Mark McKee and Joshua Donald; two granddaughters, Kathy (Scott) Hay and Maureen (Shane) Doucette; two great-grandsons, Kurtis Hay and Jordan Donald; three great-granddaughters, Courtney Hay, Jenna and Naomi Doucette; two brothers, Allan and Charlie; a sister Eileen; and numerous nieces and nephews. Catherine had been employed at the Selkirk Mental Health Centre, the Tudor Home and the Lord Selkirk School Division. Her hobbies included knitting, reading, gardening and playing bingo. Funeral services will be held on Friday February 11 at 2:00 p.m. in the Little Britain United Church, Little Britain, MB with Rev. Christine Bridgett officiating. Interment in the Churchyard Cemetery. Her grandsons will be her pallbearers. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
