Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryERNEST COOK Peacefully, with his family at his side, Ernest Cook, of Bloodvein, MB, passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital on Wednesday, February 9, 2005, at the age of 53 years. Ernest was born at Bloodvein on July 21, 1951, and had resided there until the time of his passing. He was a commercial fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. He worked on the winter road as a supervisor. His favourite pastime was horse racing and enjoyed listening to his family's favourite songs. He had a great sense of humour and was always happy and easy going. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He leaves to cherish his beautiful memory, his loving wife Margie of 30 years; his sons, Clifford (Priscilla), Mitchell (Blanch), Karl (Jillian), Darrell (Vera), Dustin (Catherine), Robin; his daughters, Melissa (Frank), Carolyn (William) and Nicole; father Harry Cook Sr.; grandmother Isabella Cook; and mother-in-law Rebecca Swain; grandchildren, Suzie, Chase, Brenda, Mitchell Jr., Triston, Andrea, Samuel, Ashton, Harrison, Seth, Russell, Margie, Francesca, Darlyn, Donia, Vern and Tashianna; brothers, Sidney (Evelyn), Peter, Harold, Harry Jr., John (Rosemary), Gerald and Ronald (Ruth Ann); sisters, Irene (Peter), Geraldine (Bernard), Denise, Bernice (Jorg) and Clarice (Charles). There are numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Ruby; brothers, Donald, Norman and Wilfred; sister Emily; grandfathers, Isaiah Boulanger and Alfred Cook, grandmother Daisy May; father-in-law Harrison Boulanger; nephew Kevin Cook; brother-in-law Lindsay Boulanger; sister-in-law Elsie Bouchie. Prayers were said on Wednesday, February 9 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave. at Parr, Winnipeg. Wake services will be held on Thursday, February 10 at his residence in Bloodvein, and on Friday, February 11 at the Bloodvein Band Hall. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 12 at 11:00 a.m. at the Alfred Cook Memorial Missionary Bible Church, Bloodvein, with Rev. Menno Wiebe officiating. Service will terminate at the church with cremation to follow. Honorary pallbearers will be Helen Cook, Caroline Cook, Nicole Cook, Robin Cook, Melissa Shenkels, Peter Young, Priscilla Hudson, Peter Bouchie, Val and Jeff Sowanash, Delores Turtle, Sidney McKay and Clinton and Roberta Goosehead. Active pallbearers will be Mitchell Boulanger, Clifford Boulanger, Karl Boulanger, Dustin Boulanger, Harry Cook Jr. and Harold Cook. Special thanks to family, friends and relatives and the nursing staff of Bloodvein First Nations and the St. Boniface Hospital for all their care given to Ernest.
