PHYLLIS CHRISTIANA LANGMAN (nee HINE) Passed away peacefully at Riverview Health Centre on February 8, 2005 at the age of 92. She will be greatly missed by her nephew Ronald Britner and his wife Kathleen; relatives in England, John, Anne and Sylvia Hine; all the staff and the friends that she has made over the years at the Centre. Of particular note are William Warner, Gordon Reid, Lina Anania, Cheryl Lindsay-Otto who were close friends. As well as Martha and Oscar Noe who visited her often. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Isaac (Ike); her sister Vera Eisener and her niece Norma Britner. Early in her life after obtaining a diploma from Success Business College at age 15, Phyllis was hired by J. D. Fraser as a bookkeeper where she met her husband to be and subsequently settled down in the Riverview Area where she spent most of her life looking after her garden and her house chores. Phyllis and Ike liked to travel by car and often took fall automobile tours. They also had a cottage at Grand Marais which they often visited during the week when it was quieter. Friends may call at the Thomson Funeral Home on Friday, February 11 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 12 at Riverview Health Centre Chapel, 1 Morley Ave., with interment at Thomson In The Park Cemetery, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., following the service.
