OSCAR VONG Unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 8, 2005, Oscar Vong, aged 20 years, passed away at the Health Sciences Centre. Oscar will be lovingly remembered by his parents Sy and Sounantha; brother Jason; his grandmothers, many aunties, uncles, cousins and friends. Oscar attended elementary at Wellington School, junior high at General Wolfe School and graduated from Kelvin High School in the I. B. program. He was a third year student at the University of Manitoba in Microbiology and currently working in the Immunology Department at the Health Sciences Centre. Oscar loved music, playing the saxophone, bassoon and clarinet. He was a former member of the Royal Winnipeg Rifles Military Band. Viewing 5:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Thursday, February 17 and Friday, February 18 at Bardal Funeral Chapel, 843 Sherbrook St. Funeral service 9:00 a.m. Saturday, February 19 at Bardal Funeral Chapel. It's been more than a month since you've passed away. I'm always hoping to see you in my dreams, to sit down and catch up with you for all the lost times. You're a wonderful friend whose generous, helpful, caring and very thoughtful. From the "Purple Geraniums" back in the 1st grade to Junior High, our convos after school during High School and so many more memories. But I know you're in a better place now. I wish the Vong family all the strength needed to get through the sudden passing of a great individual. I will remember Oscar as a friendly person who makes their day good with his upbeat personality that brightens the atmosphere during Band Class.
