ALBERT BYRON COOK (BARNEY) September 14, 1929 - February 10, 2005 It is with sorrow the family announces the passing of their beloved husband, father and grandfather, Byron Cook at the Riverview Centre. Byron leaves to mourn and cherish his memory his wife Lee; daughters, Deborah (Ron), Jilleen (John), Barbara (Andy) and sons, Bruce (Gisele), Erin (Joanne), Byron Jr. (Patricia), David (Renata); his grandchildren, Carrie, Allan, Fiona, Crystal, Darlene, Laura, Erin, Clinton, Jonathan, Bradley, Kendra, Danika, Daniel; four great grandchildren and his many brothers and sisters and their extended families; and three step-children, Tom, Darlene and Janet. As a young man, Byron loved to hunt and fish and was a passionate baseball player. He also enjoyed golf and playing cribbage with friends at the cottage. Byron was deeply fond of his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Memorial Fund at Transcona Memorial United Church, 209 Yale Avenue West, Winnipeg, or to a charity of choice. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Garcia and the nursing staff at Riverview for their wonderful care.
