Michael was predeceased by his beloved wife Dora, on August 18, 2004. He is survived by two children, Ihor (wife Bonnie) and Borys (wife Tracy); two grandchildren, Erin and Erik, as well as numerous relatives in Ukraine. Michael was born in Wolajowice, Ukraine on May 20, 1919 into a family of four brothers and sisters. He married Dora on October 27, 1951 in Bradford, England. They immigrated to Canada in 1952, where they raised their children and started their new lives with many of their friends who also travelled a hard road across Europe during the war to settle in Winnipeg. He was a self taught carpenter, electrician and mechanic, who was always there for his family and friends. We are very grateful to all of their friends who visited over his last years. We extend thanks to Barbara and the rest of the Home Care staff who gave us great comfort knowing he was in such good hands. We also thank the staff of Seven Oaks Hospital who cared for him these last six months.
