Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRAOUL (RALPH) JOSEPH DESAULNIERS April 29, 1930 - February 12, 2005 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Raoul at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 74 years. Raoul will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years Marie; his children, Roger (Deborah), Paul (Darlene), Paulette Wilson, Lise and Renald Ron ; his grandchildren, Candace (Jason) Cherewayko, Daniel (Kira Shinnie) Desaulniers, Christopher Wilson, Dustyn Desaulniers; his great-granddaughter Willow Doerr. He also leaves his sisters, Yvonne Jutras and Leonne Landry; his brothers, Emile (Fabiola) and Victore (Simone); numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Exaverie and Sidonie; his brothers, Jules, Archilles, Arthur, Aurele, Claude, Leon, Georges and Raymond. Raoul (Rat d'eau, Pepere, Grumpy, Junior) was the second youngest of 21 children. Raoul will be remembered for his p'tit jokes. When asked How are you doing? He would answer Without! He will also be remembered for his loyal service as a milkman to Modern Dairies for 25 years in Winnipeg, MB. He and his wife Marie then moved to Beausejour, MB in 1985. Due to his illness they moved back to Winnipeg in March 2004. Many thanks to Dr. R.J. Davey, the doctors in ACF, nurses and staff of 6A at the St. Boniface Hospital. Raoul's wishes were that donations be made in his name to the Canadian Diabetes Association, PO Box 12013 Stn Brm B, Toronto, ON M7Y 2L3 or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 16 in the St. Eugene Roman Catholic Church, 1007 St. Mary's Rd. Interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date.
