LEIDA TOPLEY (DAMAN)

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLEIDA TOPLEY (nee DAMAN) Peacefully, on Sunday, February 13, 2005, Leida passed away at Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 92. Mom was predeceased by her husband Jack Topley in 1982; her parents, Marie and Jan Daman; sisters, Dene Mulder, Annie Keedian, Mary Doherty; brothers, John and Bill Daman. Mom will lovingly be remembered by her daughters, Lynne-Marie Hamilton, Bonnie Stonyk (Brian) and grandchildren, Colleen Hamilton (Derek Jones), Ian Hamilton, Michael Stonyk (Aline Frechette) and Nicole Stonyk (Austen Kelly); her twin sister Joanna Morton and her brother Chris Daman (Mollie). Prior to her marriage to Jack in 1939, Leida was employed at the T. Eaton Company. Throughout the years Mom was actively involved in her community and charitable work. Leida co-chaired the inception of the United Way in Winnipeg and served in various positions on school associations, E.K. Ladies Kiwanis and was an active Liberal party worker. Family, friends and neighbours were always warmly welcomed and enjoyed visiting Mom and Dad's home and the family cottage at Betula Lake. Mom had a great love for children and took delight in her own grandchildren. A celebration of Mom's life will be held on Friday, February 18 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca
