HELEN WIELER February 4, 1921 - February 15, 2005 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Helen Wieler at the age of 84, at Steinbach Bethesda Hospital on February 15 after a short illness, with her family at her side. She will be sadly missed by son Harry (Pat) Funk; daughter-in-law Evelyn (Edwin) Funk; daughters, Norma (Walter) Rempel and Alvina (Henry) Klassen; sons, Leonard (Carolyn) Funk, Edward (Marilyn) Wieler and Peter (Janine) Wieler; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; also her sister Mary Friesen and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husbands, Jacob Funk (1952) and Jacob Wieler (1966), daughter Rose Boychuk (1976), son-in-law Erwin Hiebert (1988) and son Edwin Funk (2001). Viewing will be held Thursday, February 17, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home at 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., Winnipeg (across from the Mint), with devotional to follow. Funeral services will be held at Steinbach CMC, 479 Hanover St., Steinbach, on Friday, February 18 at 10:30 a.m. with reception in the auditorium. Interment at Randolph Cemetery. The family would like to express their many thanks to Dr. M. Thiessen and the nursing staff at Steinbach Bethesda Hospital for their care and kindness.
