PETER DELEY Peacefully, on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 with his family by his side, at the age of 82 years, Peter passed away at the River East Personal Care Home. Peter will be lovingly remembered by his son Dennis (Jo-Anne); daughter Pat Wege; son Robert (Elaine and daughter Robin); and grandchildren, Alissa and Jeff Deley, Taryn and Ryan Wege. Peter's grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and always brought a smile to his face and a twinkle to his eye. Peter was predeceased by his wife of 47 years Olga; his son-in-law Rick Wege, his parents, Emil and Wasylena; and his older brother Bill. Peter was born and raised in Dallas, MB. He served in the Army Corps of Engineers in the Second World War and worked for CNR for 37 years. He was especially proud of the time he spent at the CNR as a maintenance technician looking after the Express terminal on Panet Road in Winnipeg. Dad could fix anything and everything and his expertise was always appreciated by family, friends, and neighbours. Peter and Olga raised their family in North Kildonan and enjoyed watching the area grow from bush and farmland to an exclusive residential neighbourhood. Peter will be remembered for his pioneering efforts with the North Kildonan Parks Board that resulted in the creation of Bunn's Creek Park. The family extends our appreciation to the staff and volunteers at River East Personal Care Home for the kindness, loving care, and compassion they gave to our Dad and Gido. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 18, at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson Society of Manitoba. We are, all of us, molded and remolded by those who have loved us. No love, no friendship, can ever cross the path of our destiny without leaving some mark upon it, Forever. VICHNAYA PAMYAT Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolences at www.gleneden-mb.ca
