Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPETER SMITH Suddenly on Monday, February 14, 2005 in his own home, Peter passed away at the age of 83 years. Peter was born in Serbia (Yugoslavia) on January 22, 1922. He moved to Canada as a child and settled in Western Canada. Peter joined the Lake Superior Regiment during the Second World War where he fought in France and Belgium. As the war ended, he married Eileen Dullea in England then came back to Canada to begin a family. Peter spent the rest of his life working for the Canadian Government and living in various cities in Canada and England before settling in Winnipeg in 1973. Peter will be lovingly missed by his children, Robert Smith, OMI, Karen Dullea and Hilary Carey (Joe); and his grandchildren, Monica, Mari, Sonja, William, Bronwyn, Michael and Marie. He will also be sadly missed by his brother Maxwell Falkner and his wife Louise of Taber, AB, and children Thane and Joy. Peter was predeceased by his wife Eileen. Memorial mass will be celebrated, Saturday, February 19 at 11:00 a.m. in the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 510 River Ave., with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano presiding at the Eucharist.
