Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNIE LUMSDEN EWING CROWE Peacefully, with her family by her side, at Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, on Sunday, February 13, 2005, Annie Lumsden Ewing Crowe passed away at the age of 93. Annie was predeceased by her brothers, John and George. She is survived by her sister Henrietta McIntosh, and several, very special nieces and nephews. She was born in Burnside, the Parish of Leuchars, in the County of Fife, Scotland, on December 26, 1911, into the family of John and Jessie Crowe. The family, like so many others, arrived in Halifax on the Queen Elizabeth in 1913, settling in Winnipeg, MB. Annie was a quiet, gentle, woman who grew up with a strong faith in Jesus and read her Bible faithfully every day. Her favourite hymn was How Great Thou Art . Lawrence Welk was her favourite T.V. show. She loved going for walks, reading, going to movies, and visits to the cottage at Falcon Lake and Lester Beach. Annie never married and lived her entire life with her sister Etta , and her husband George and family. Etta was her favourite companion, her sister, and best friend. After George's death in 1989, Annie and Etta continued to live together. Her mainstay was her family, especially her nephew Bob, who was devoted to her care, along with Etta, in giving them a worry free life in their own home. They enjoyed many happy family times of travel and holidays. Until Annie's illness with Alzheimer's they lived together until she was moved into a nursing home in 1996. Annie is loved very deeply and regrettably Alzheimer's had taken away so much of her life, but we will never forget the love she had for us. We miss Annie in our daily life, but we know where she is now is home, and we shall meet again, one day, on that beautiful shore. She was a loving, caring, and loyal Auntie. She is, and always will be, very special to us. We will all miss you, Annie. We love you and we will never forget you. We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Middlechurch Home for the care of our Annie, and for their compassion at this time, especially nurses Sheri and Sharon, and H.C.A. Elizabeth. Also a special thank you to Wilma for her love and kindness given to Annie, for so many years. An act of kindness no matter how small is never wasted. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 23 at 3:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. A reception will follow. Interment of ashes will take place in the spring at Kildonan Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, in Annie's honour, acknowledge her life with doing good deeds or helping someone in need. When it's time to leave this world some day, the only thing you get to keep is what you give away. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
