LILLIAN MAY CROSSLEY It is with the deepest sorrow that the family of Lillian May Crossley announces her untimely passing on February 14, 2005 at the Grace General Hospital. Lillian is predeceased by her husband Kenneth, daughter Sylvia, father Fred, mother Sylvia, brother Raymond, son-in-law Allen and brother-in-law Roy. Lillian is survived by her daughters, Karen and her children, Quinn (Bonnie) and Dustin; daughter Kimberley (Ken) and their children, Jennifer, Patricia and Ken; son Kenneth; son Ralph (Elizabeth) and their children, Alexander, Taylor and Elizabeth and Sylvia's children, Gregory, Ronda, Georgia and Stephen. Lillian is also survived by two sisters, Bernice and Violet and a brother Lloyd, as well as many nieces and nephews. Lillian was born in Reddit, ON on May 5, 1926. During the depression, Lillian moved to Winnipeg at age 14 to find a job. She met Ken at a dance before he went overseas during the Second World War. When Ken returned they married. Ken and Lil tried farming in the orchards of BC, but Ken decided to return to the Air Force. They were stationed in Rivers, MB, then transferred to Edmonton. They eventually returned to Winnipeg with their five children. Lil worked on the base at the officer's mess kitchen for many years. She also worked at Sears and the RCMP. When Ken retired, the family moved from the base to Whytewold Rd. A celebration of Lillian's life will be held Friday, February 18 at 10:00 a.m. at the Army, Navy Air Force Veterans Assiniboia Unit 283, 3584 Portage Ave. A luncheon will follow with family and friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
