My mom was one of the strongest women I ever knew. She suffered much, like many of us, but she always soldiered on. She is an inspiration to me... I can still hear her say.."Oh Laur, just get up and do it!" "You can do it. Get going!" And funny! Always goofing around. I have a picture of her playing "jacks" on her 60th wedding anniversary. And leading a conga line through the restaurant the afternoon before my wedding. Who inspired her? She dearly loved her Dad, despite his great difficulties. She loved him and clung to his strengths. That is what she does for me and what I always hope to do for others. - Posted by: Laurie (Daughter) on: Mar 28, 2015

I am so glad I had the opportunity to meet Betty after all these years, and with only fond memories (mostly over a glogg pot!) will she be remembered by myself and by all the Roos's. - Posted by: Lisa Roos (Family) on: Feb 21, 2005
