Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGINA ADELINE YOURCHEK (nee PAULENKO) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Georgina Adeline Yourchek, peacefully in the arms of her loving family, on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at the age of 69 years. Georgina was born on December 22, 1935 and is survived by her daughters, Leanne Yourchek of Winnipeg, Lisa Yourchek of St. Amant Centre, Winnipeg and Jennifer (Richard) Mucz of Ottawa; grandchildren, Chelsea, Christopher, Vanessa and Dylan; brothers, George (Shirley) and Donny (Donna); sisters, Pearl, Sylvia and Sally and relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Lena; husband William; sister Florence and brother Raymond. Georgina was born in Winnipeg, raised in Shell Valley later moving to Roblin and eventually settling in Winnipeg. She retired from the hospitality industry where she worked for many years at the Carleton Club. She was very proud to be a member of the St. Joseph's Ukrainian Church choir. She enjoyed volunteering in the office at St. Anne's Ukrainian Church of which she was a member. Mom loved spending time with family and friends and cherished the joy she received from her four grandchildren. She was known for her energetic personality and eagerness to help others. Georgina was an inspiration to all with the strength and courage she showed throughout her battle with cancer. In keeping with Georgina's wishes cremation has taken place. Prayers will be said on Friday, February 18 at 6:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, February 19 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 455 Douglas Ave. with Rt. Rev. Cannon Walter Klimchuk as celebrant. The family wishes to extend their appreciation for the exceptional care provided by Dr. A. Maksymiuk and staff at CancerCare Manitoba. All the staff at the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit with special thanks to Sherry, Catherine and Terry. Also to all family and friends who expressed much love and support throughout mom's courageous battle. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Georgina's memory to St. Amant Centre, 440 River Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2M 3Z9. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044

Dear family of Georgina, We are very sorry about your loss. Your mother was truly a shining light whose brilliance was felt by the many people she came in touch with during her life.
